Before the snow came

Posted in Uncategorized at November 25th, 2005 / 3 Comments »

Yesterday evening I have launched a project that has riped since this summer: my OWN classifieds site. And after letting this first Beta-Version out to the online open world there came a big snow (more than 10cm on my balcony right now) in the offline world and I think this is a good sign. So please, have a look at www.philslist.de and give me your honest feedback. philslist is meant to remain free for ALL times and most of all INDEPENDENT and FUN to use.

Also, Domain schon mal merken.

Was Away

Posted in Uncategorized at November 21st, 2005 / 4 Comments »

Hi there, Roxic told me about some annoying popups on my site… Sorry for that, will try to stop that soon! Maybe you wondered why the new Stats werent live on Friday - a simple explanation but no excuse: I was having a break a the lago maggiore not thinking, typing or counting anything… But you can have a look at them now. BTW, unfortunately also Bakeca! Roma has lost its ad-numbers (vivastreet Berlin was first with that) and that really makes my work a lot more difficult. So, please stop that! And gumtree-Doug, pls give gumtree-sites ad-counting numbers, coz I would love to cover your sites…

And last but totally not least, while coming back yesterday I stumbled heavily on something called BASE. Yes, folks, you know it already for sure, Google Base BETA is online… Let me discover it in the next days and then I will try to give my opinion on that big threat to the formerly newspaper- (and ebay) dominated classified world.

Counting Problems

Posted in Uncategorized at November 4th, 2005 / No Comments »

Somehow kijiji Paris and Vivastreet Berlin Sites lost numbers behind the categories. This really is a pain in the ass for someone like me. I actually had to count myself! So please Matthew, bring back the numbers on vivastreet Berlin! (I dont know anyone of kijiji Paris, besides I dont think they would care). See newest classified fight stats here.

Habitamos becomes Adoos

adoos habitamos new logo

Hey Julian, my friend, great new brand you are building. I love the logo (very professionell and handy) and the brand name is good (you know I liked habitamos very much) and suitable for your big goal of getting international. Wish you all the best for that and I will look carefully on all the new countries and sites. Making the Alpha-Version viewable is very community-like. I love it! Maybe I will come up with something similar in the days, who knows? ;-)

As I celebrated my birthday yesterday quitely and relaxed with my family, something BIG happened. Eventually, for some moments, Google’s long forcasted Classified platform was online viewable to the public. Wow, now the market may get very interesting… See screenshots of base.google.com on flickr.
